The Smash trio comprises of the most expressive saxophone tone, the most energetic harmonica performer, the most versatile pianist, and its engine of top musicians. The project explores what music is, attempts to re-define the meaning of music, and bridge the popular with the classics. Smashing the boundaries of classical, pop and jazz music, Smash creates an experience that is purely musical.
Smash works intimately with a cohort of local composers to find its original and authentic sound. The compositions, enable Smash to continue with its fire, energy and passion, translating these elements into a fiery and most exciting experience for its supporters.
Music Lab 本地薑音樂節中，色士風手孫穎麟、口琴手何卓彥，以及鋼琴家黃家正組成的三重奏「Smash」啟動了一場火花四濺的實驗，讓流行、古典與爵士音樂共冶一爐，重塑音樂的定義。睽違數年，火花不息，他們積極與本地作曲家合作，銳意發掘屬於香港的繆思，商業發行的《Smash: Originals》專輯，就收錄一系列原創樂韻，以本地音樂對外吶喊，期望在國際舞台上燃起這個城市的聲音。
